How many of you guys are using Nizoral shampoo ?
1% or 2% ?
How many times a week do you use it ?
What's the result of using it ?
Any side effects on the scalp itself ?

Nizoral 2% is recommended for hairloss, not regular nizoral.

If you have dandruff or flakes/dandruff from minoxidil, nizoral will take care of that issue.  Nizoral is an anti-inflamatory shampoo and will help prevent hairloss to a degree and possible hair regrowth.

Best results are seen when combined with usage of minoxidil and finasteride. They work synergeticaly.

Unless you have really sensitive skin/scalp or allergic to the 2% ket. in the shampoo, you will rarely see side effects from it.

Keep in mind that a shed of hair is normal when first starting to use it. Don't panic, they'll grow back.

I tried Nizoral and it made my hair feel thin and whispery, so I stopped.

It's a good product to use in conjunction with other treatments but not as a stand alone solution.

...Just feel like crying. Nizoral 2% is such an awsome shampoo to add to your regime for fighting hairloss, but it makes hair and look like crap. Is it worth the sacrifice? I don't know. I'm thinking about using Niz 1x per week and Head & Shoulders 1x per week.

Does it make your hair look like crap too? For me my hair feels so thin and soft when I use it, it ruined my hair. I had to stop.

mj2003:

The first time I tried Nizoral, it did wonders for me - my hair looked about twice as thick and it really cut down the itch and inflammation. I use it now and it makes my hair look terrible and lifeless. I prefer to use the Origenere Shampoo. I feel like Nizoral is just too harsh for me. I would not use H & S shampoo if it was given to me or if I were paid to use it.
