Some of you know that minoxidil applied to a damp scalp is highly more potent than applying it to a dry scalp.  It's prohibited because of the potency that creates side effects. Well.... I applied it to damp hair this morning and let me tell you it was not fun at all. I experienced immediately...

the taste of minoxidil in the back of my throat

light headed

very nausea

heart palputations

It's almost 8:30pm and I still have the symptoms. I also think it causes a slight insomnia effect because I don't think I'll be sleeping for the next few hours.

Minoxidil will definetly be more effective on a damp scalp. But is it worth it? Not in a million years.

Are you using the foam or the liquid? I guess it doesnt really matter because the solution is still the same..

Thanks for letting us know about this.. I have allways used it after towel drying my hair after a shower but making sure it is dry enough.

Wow, that's weird that you experienced those conditions. I usually let my hair dry out well and then apply the recommended drops at night/morning. Contact a doctor about your condition, but definitely stop using it.

Doc:

You must be an EXTREMELY good absorber (sic) of topical medicines. Have you had much success with other topical treatments and/or similar side effects?
