If I decided to have a hairtransplant, is the hair permanent? I mean, the hair that is put back into my head, will that fall out like the rest of my hair in the hairline??

No, it should not fall out. It may become somewhat thinner as you get past middle age as most people's hair begins to thin in all areas of the scalp.

Yep agree here with Jtelecom.. Its basically the whole principle behind the hair transplant - you take hair from the donor area which should last a lifetime & transplant it into the frontal zones.

Yes it is permanent. The grafts are extracted from an area that never gets bold. The hair might get thinner when you become old, but never fall down. Good Luck!

It should act the same way as it would of at the back of your head.  So if it wasnt going to fall out backt there then it shouldnt in the area it was donated to.  Thats the whole point. Otherwise it would be a complete waste of money.

That doesnt mean that things cant go wrong, or that all the hairs transplanted will grow.

Make sure to do your research into as many Drs as you can, look at the work they have done before coming to any decision.  Id also go fue over strip as its much less invasive.

Good Luck with it all.

As long as the grafts are taken from the safe zone from the sides and back, then yes, the grafts will be there for a very very long time if not forever. I have spoken with guys who had their hair transplants in the 70's, old pluggy hairs and they are still in place and going strong. Thats over 30 years!
