He is constantly (the last time I checked, which was years ago now :) ) tinkering with his formulation to make improvements and also to avoid tolerance. He has solid science on his side. The last I knew, he still compounded Proxiphen himself and makes it in small batches.

My understanding is dr proctor is always changing the formulas in some way shape or form. Wouldn't that be a downside to the drug? If one takes it then it would be a long term commitment/treatment. Tampering with the ignredients here and there may alter one's progress, no?

You can DEFINITELY drop the minoxidil because Prescription Proxiphen contains 6% minoxidil (give or take depending on the mad scientist's tinkering with the formula :D )

I think that'll do just fine. Will drop dut to replace with fin and add proxiphen to the big3. (Unless you're not supposed to use minox in conjuction with it).

How long would you say the Proxiophen could last if one were to use it only in the crown? It is pretty expensive, for the first yr atleast. Then it's maintenance stage afterwards...applying it once every other day which would cost half the price ($50).

I am talking about the PRESCRiPTION Proxiphen. I also tried the non-prescript Proxiphen-N which is not a good product. The Proxiphen is very expensive ($100) and comes in a small vial about the size of a film canister and does not last very long. It has the consistency of a thick cream, but penetrates almost completely. It is also hard to work with if applying to areas of dense growth, because you tend to get more on the hair than the scalp.

I flew down to Houston in 2000 (if I remember correctly) and went to Dr. Proctor's office after reading about him in David Tse's (Hairsite) book. He slathered some Proxiphen on my head and that was about it. He is not the most gifted conversationalist. After using it for several months, I was pretty amazed at the results. Also, I used the Nano shampoo which I just loved - it made my hair look so thick. He then changed the formula of Nano and it did nothing for me, but he claimed that it was a more effective formulation. I stopped using it. I then had a strip procedure and stopped using Proxiphen. I started up on Proxiphen about two years later and did not get the amazing results that I had seen before. he tinkers with the formulas constantly and adds new things like spin labels and spin traps. I have not used it in years, but frequently wonder if I should give it another try. Solid science behind it, no doubt.
