I wonder if everyone else that takes their own pics find it as difficult as I did. I went from room to room including the bathroom, and shot at multiple different angles and different distances from the light to a point I almost said "screw it" and give up. Maybe its the lighting or the camera or both but it was really frustrating. Sometimes I only got half of my head, sometimes too close, sometimes too far. Out of 23 pictures these turned out the closest to good pics. But take my word for it, in person it is more apparent to the naked eye of the progress. I was actually not the one to notice it, it was someone else and that's when I decided to take a look, because I wasn't expecting anything at the 6 week mark.

For 6 weeks 0 progress is expected. I'm very greatful.

RE: My Crown is Filling in - Only 6 weeks

That's not bad, as you go forward for your enxt update can you try and take photos at the same angle. Hard to tell from those pics but it does look like there has been an improvement. What would help with that MJ2003? Would Biotin? You said it helps with the skin.
I'm almost confident biotin will not help with the dark circles you're getting under your eyes. You should first confirm whether or not this is caused from propecia. Many times when we're taking a drug that we "heard" causes such-and-such side effect, we're always thinking about it and worried about so much that anything that happens we say "it must be form the drug" which is usually not the case. Are you sleeping well? Are you stressed? Has your eating habbits gone form health to severe junk? Are you drinkng water? Best way to confirm without causing negative effects on your hair is to stop tkaing propecia for about 3 weeks and see what happens to your eyes. Make sure you also keep close tab of any other changes you make to your life styles. If in the weeks you see your dark bags undr your eyes fading or get better than you know its from propecia, and if not than rest assure it's unlikely it's propecia.
That being said, from my understanding, there are two occasions where dark circles/bags under the eyes cannot be cured with any med or surgery is the ones that are hereditary (like mine, theyre genetic) or caused by medications. Use all the cream you want, I really doubt it will make a difference "if" it's caused form your meds. If theyre caused from lack of rest or just other unhealthy contributed to your body then facial cream vitamins/minerals etc. will work.

RE: My Crown is Filling in - Only 6 weeks

yeh i took shots of the day i started my regime then shots of my crown just over 6 weeks after starting the treatments. will post either tonight or tomorrow.

dedication is "key". let's be honest, many of us say we've been on so-and-so treatment for x amount of months and not seen results. fact is MOST of us miss a lot of days, get lazy, and hop back on. I would understand if you were confused about fin or dut, but unless you are on unknown medications that would not mix well with biotin for some odd reason I'm pretty sure you're good to go in giving it a try. You asked me in another thread if you should replace saw palmetto with biotin: I would say hell no. First of all they work differently. Saw Palmetto is an all natural DHT blocker without the side effects! I and others have mentioned the benefits of biotin here so need to explain biotin.

Just purchase biotin already :D

RE: My Crown is Filling in - Only 6 weeks
Boywonder (4/20/2009)
Did you start the regime at once, or seperately over time.
Majority of I started at the same - some with a few days apart. What does Ginkgo do, circulation?? A dozen raw eggs???
helpmyhair, yeh i think it is. I've just added nizoral 2% to my collection of daily intakes as well.

Biotin:

It is the best known supplement for the health and beauty of Hair, Skin and Nails.
Also referred to as Vitamin H, this vitamin promotes hair growth, protects against dryness and is involved in the biosynthesis of unsaturated fats.
Increases the elasticity of the hair's cortex preventing breakage.
It also thickenss the actual hair cuticle providing a fuller appearance because of the increased diameter of the hair shaft.
A lack of Biotin would result in dermatitis and hair loss.

Ginkgo biloba has too many benefits to list and I don't want to start pasting studies and websites. It's excellent for better blood circulation, transport of nutrients and minerals throughout your body promptly, promotes better focus and memory.

A dozen raw eggs is part of my daily workout diet.

The protein in eggs has a biological quality greater than any other natural food. In fact many manufacturers of protein powders often base their products on egg protein such as albumin because of its protein quality. Egg protein contains all the essential amino acids in the exact proportions required by the body for optimum growth and maintenance of lean, metabolically active tissue.

Maintaining an adequate level of lean weight is crucial for weight loss because a decrease would lower the metabolism and reduce the number of calories needed eventually rendering any low calorie diet ineffective.

Quality of proteins can be an important factor in weight loss because protein of poor quality forces the body to either use it as fuel or convert it to fat for storage. Many processed foods contain protein levels of poor quality plus they often contain high calories which increases the chance protein will be stored as fat!

The quality of the protein in eggs means that all egg protein can be used for synthesis and limits the amount burned as fuel or stored as fat.

RE: My Crown is Filling in - Only 6 weeks

That is quite the regimine

minoxidil 5% 2x/daily
dutasteride 0.5mg eod (loaded with 2.5mg first 10 days)
saw palmetto 540mg daily
msm 6k-8k mg daily
biotin daily
multi-vitamin 2x/daily
omega-3 oil 2,000mg daily
ginkgo biloba 360mg daily
nioxin shampoo
high protein-low carb/fat diet
cell-tech
no xplode
dozen raw eggs daily
work out daily

What does Biotin do for you?? Why the excitement? Because I've only started my regime almost 6 weeks ago. I have the photos (as posted 1 month ago on another site) of what my crown looked like prior to starting my treatment.

Problem I have now is I'm growing hair on my forehead, around my eye brows, and below my eyes like a hair monky.
